I trained to understand how children learn
At university I studied special education, and later took a master’s in Management and Social Innovation. I loved every minute of it — but nothing taught me more about children than becoming a mother.
I watched my own sons being asked to fit the shape of a classroom, instead of the classroom fitting them. We tried the private-school route, and it quietly failed to give what we’d been promised on the day we enrolled. So my family decided to do it our own way.
Fit the school to the child — not the child to the system
Schools today are weighed down more and more by administration and paperwork, and it is the child who is asked to bend. I love technology — and AI finally gave us the one thing an overstretched classroom never could: the freedom to shape learning around each child, instead of forcing every child into the same mould.
The AI teacher is endlessly patient. She never gets upset, never has a bad day, and is always ready to explain a thing again — your child’s way, for as long as it takes. But she never raises your child. People do that.
I built it for my own children first
I didn’t build VEDI to sell. I built it for my own sons — they are its first students, and they helped shape it, page by page, telling us what worked and what didn’t. I would never put another family’s child in front of anything I hadn’t first trusted with my own.
International — without losing home
I never believed that “international” should mean leaving your own language and culture behind. At VEDI your child learns on the standards the best schools in the world use and keeps their mother tongue, taught properly, every single day. AI is what makes both possible at once.
Raising builders, not spectators
The world is opening up to our children faster than any school can keep up with, and we have to be brave enough to meet it. I want children to use technology, not fear it — to ask how they might shape and improve the world around them. That is why real projects, in entrepreneurship and STEM, sit at the heart of the VEDI week — alongside daily reading and maths practice, and chess, Kindness Club and piano. We grow the whole child, not just the marks.
This was never about money
VEDI began as something my family built for our own children, and then opened up to others. I am looking for allies — parents who want to help us shape it into something better, and together raise a generation of children who grow up to be a positive influence on the world.
